Hitmaker Improv Academy Level 2
Classes begin Thursdays May 1st - June 19th from 7pm to 10pm

Prerequisites: Completion of Level 1 OR at least 1 year of performing experience OR equivalent education at another institution (Second City, UCB, etc)
In "Improv Level 2: Character Dynamics and Scene-Building in Improv," students deepen their understanding of improvisation by focusing on authentic character interactions, emotional perspectives, and dynamic scene-building techniques. The course emphasizes honest reactions, commitment to emotional choices, and using surroundings to create vivid, believable worlds on stage. Participants learn how emotions can drive narratives and shape meaningful interactions, ultimately enhancing their improvisational skills and stage presence.
By the course's conclusion, students will master techniques for developing engaging two-person scenes, creating strong emotional connections, and smoothly editing scenes for maximum impact. The final sessions prepare students for a showcase performance, solidifying their ability to build cohesive, compelling stories through spontaneous collaboration and heightened emotional engagement.
